Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu invades Spain and Switzerland

Como viver de Jiu-Jitsu no Brasil é algo complicado, é cada vez maior o número de lutadores brasileiros que procuram outros países para ganhar a vida. Foi o caso de Davi Cavalcante, bicampeão Europeu (2008 e 2009), que chegou à Espanha há quatro anos e atualmente se sente realizado.

 

“Minha vinda para Madri foi para me casar e realizar o grande sonho de muitos, dar aula fora do Brasil. Estou com a escola André Negão de Jiu-Jitsu e o trabalho vem crescendo muito.Temos um total de 25 atletas aqui em Madrid e outra filial em Genebra, na Suíça, com uns 50 atletas a cargo do professor Olavo Belo”, comentou o brasileiro. Depois do bicampeonato no europeu, Davi já pensa em novas conquistas. “Minha prioridade agora é tentar lutar o Pan-Americano 2009, e tenho propostas para lutar MMA aqui na Espanha. Estou muito feliz de ver o Jiu-Jitsu comandando na Europa e por estar realizando o meu sonho: ensinar Jiu-Jitsu aqui em Madri”, finalizou o brasileiro.

After the bichampionship in the European, Davi already thinks about new conquests. “My priority now is to try to fight Pan-American 2009, and has proposals to fight MMA in Spain here. I am very happy to see the Jiu-Jitsu commanding in the Europe and for being carrying through my dream: to teach Jiu-Jitsu in Madrid here”, finished the Brazilian.
