Barcelona is the home of ADCC 2009

 The ace of the Submission can now be prepared, the ADCC 2009 already has a date and place to happen. "After months of speculation it is now official, Barcelona has been chosen by the International Committee of ADCC as the headquarters of the world championship to be contested in September. Os craques do Submission já podem se preparar, o ADCC 2009 já tem local e data para acontecer. Em setembro deste ano, nomes como Marcelinho Garcia, Robert Drysdale e Roger Garcia, além dos campeões da seletiva no Brasil, se encaminharão para Barcelona, na Espanha, para o maior torneio de Submission do mundo.

 

“Depois de meses de especulação agora é oficial, Barcelona foi escolhida pelo comitê internacional do ADCC como a sede do campeonato mundial a ser disputado em Setembro. Após uma análise entre as possíveis candidaturas para sediar a competição Barcelona, a sede das Olimpíadas de 92, foi a grande escolhida”, contou Pedro Duarte, faixa-preta de Murilo Bustamante, que reside em Barcelona. Ao lado dele, o finlandês Marko Leistein, um dos grandes responsáveis pelo crescimento do Submision Wrestiling e do Jiu-Jitsu na Europa, organizará o torneio.

 

Depois de muitos problemas diplomáticos entre Brasil e Espanha, o que resultou na deportação de várias pessoas em ambos os países, o Comitê do ADCC Sul-Americano, através do Secretário Geral Wagner Gomes, informa que está providenciando uma visita ao Consulado da Espanha para ter mais informações de que forma os atletas possam desembarcar no país sem maiores problemas.
