
At the beginning of this decade, the Alliance was considered one of the biggest teams of Jiu-Jitsu in the world, having won two world titles in 1998 and 99, but the outputs of great stars and the split between the founders weakened the team. The leader of the Alliance in Brazil, Fábio Gurgel gave back over and, ten years later, the team is two times champion again. Won in 2008 and repeated the dose in 2009, winning five gold medals on the male black belt, two silvers and made a champion in female, leading the third world championship with points to spare. In the following interview, General, as he’s called by the students, tells how was recast the team, talk about the critics and analyzes the current market of Jiu-Jitsu.
