Humphreys wants Demian at the ADCC

Third place in the ADCC 2007, defeated by Demian Maia in the semifinals, Tarsis Humphreys is excited to the 2009 edition of the submission grappling tournament. Training hard for the gold, the black belt spoke with TATAME.com and analyzed the division. “From what I saw, it only has tough guys, I can’t point just one fighter as the biggest opponent. If Demian fights, he can be pointed as the strongest in the category, because he won the 2007 edition”, said, contesting the loss for the UFC fighter.

“I got the third place, losing to Demian by one takedown, which, in my opining, never happened. I flipped over and he didn’t hold the position for three seconds. I’d like to ask the promoters to watch this fight again and explain to me what happened, because, by the rules, it’s not a point, but they gave him the point. I wanna now to make sure I won’t make the same “mistake” that took me of the final anymore”, finished the fighter. The ADCC 2009 takes place at Barcelona, Spain, in September.
