In March of 2007, when Lyoto debuted with victory in the UFC, completing eight fights unbeaten, we went to Belém and dedicated our Paredão to the Samurai of the Amazon, who, already at that time, warned: "I’m arriving to fight for the title and achieve my dream to be world champion". A lot doubt, after all, in a sport of high performance as the MMA, it may seem strange to conceive that the most disputed category will have as champion a fighter that do everything in so antagonist way to all other tops - Lyoto trains with his father and brothers in a small gym in Belém, instead of seek for high level sparrings in the big training centers; instead of taking nutritional supplements, he takes açaí and urine and instead of practicing Boxing and Muay Thai, he trains Caratê, a method that has never had its efficiency proven in MMA, so far.
