O primeiro dia de disputas do Campeonato Europeu de Jiu-Jitsu da CBJJE, na Suíça, contou com os faixas-pretas em ação. Nas seis áreas montadas no ginásio da escola Beausobre, em Morges, feras como os brasileiros Reinaldo Ribeiro, Denílson Pimenta, Alexandre Izidro e os gringos Piotr Baginski e Mecies Linke, entre outros, mostraram as habilidades na arte suave.
A primeira final disputada foi no peso pluma. Representando a Gracie Barra, Edvaldo Ferreira começou perdendo por uma raspagem, mas depois inverteu o placar e derrotou por 14 a 2 Marcel de Oliveira. No peso pena, Denílson Pimenta fez jus ao favoritismo e finalizou os dois combates. A fera da GFTeam usou um estrangulamento e um ezequiel pelas costas para bater Berilo Junior e Ítalo Ferreira.
No leve o campeão foi o polonês Mecies Linke, que garantiu o ouro numa demonstração de que os europeus estão cada vez mais fortes na arte suave. No médio, fera que marcava presença nas principais competições do Brasil e que agora vive em Barcelona, Reinaldo Ribeiro provou que ainda está com o jogo afiado. Depois de finalizar a primeira luta com um estrangulamento pelas costas, derrotou a pedreira Alexandre Izidro na finalíssima com o mesmo golpe.
No meio-pesado o melhor foi Marcelo Bernardo (Power Team). Na decisão, após finalizar com um armlock na primeira, bateu Ricardo Oliveira (Alliance) com uma raspada. No pesadíssimo o ouro foi para Mario Sukata (Sukata), que, mesmo sendo da categoria máster, bateu Thiago Borges e Rodrigo Candido. No absoluto, Ítalo Ferreira (Ítalo BJJ) derrotou um oponente para fechar com o companheiro Thiago “Monstro” Borges.
MASTER E SÊNIOR FAZEM A FESTA
Os veteranos também deram show no Europeu da CBJJE. Entre os destaques, o polonês Piotr Baginski garantiu o ouro no meio-pesado e no absoluto sênior. Entre os masters, o sempre presente Jair Lourenço, mestre da Kimura Nova união, usou as quedas para bater dois oponentes no meio-pesado. No pesado máster o primeiro lugar ficou com Davi Cavalcante (Royler Gracie), enquanto Fabrício Nascimento (Nova União) fez duas lutas para ser o melhor no absoluto. Na grande decisão, num combate muito parelho, derrotou Fabiano Araujo (Gracie Barra). Voltando à categoria sênior, Raul Vieira (Lótus) foi o melhor e, no pódio, dedicou a vitória à esposa: “Essa é para a Leila!”, comemorou.
