Out of ADCC 2009, Kyra comments her injury

Communicating TATAME.com by e-mail about her absence of ADCC 2009, Kyra Gracie talked with us by phone from New York, where she was preparing to go after the third ADCC title in Spain, this weekend. Out of the tournament, Kyra explained her injury. “I had this problem at the Worlds. I made a lot of physiotherapy, but this week I trained hard and felt again. The pain was so strong that there wasn’t even a position to sleep“, regrets the black-belt, that won’t need surgery. “I went to the doctor and he said it’s a slipped disk. Now I gotta rest, make physiotherapy, there isn’t much to do“.

Out of the dispute, Kyra will be in Barcelona to watch the fights. “I’ll go toBarcelona because was everything right with tickets and hotel, and I appointed seminars, so I’ll go there watch. I’ll give the seminars then I’ll be back to Brazil to do physiotherapy“, explains, commenting her bets to ADCC. “I don’t know who’s gonna take my place, let’s wait fort he list, but, for now, I bet on Megumi Fuji“, said the Gracie, informed by TATAME.com of the replacement by Bianca Andrade. “Then I’ll bet on Bianca (laughs)“.
