The lightweight Thiago Tavares hadn’t had much luck in the past months. After suffering an elbow injury, the Brazilian went under surgery in the knee, after a training to fight at UFC 103. “Everything is alright, I went under surgery and I’m already doing physiotherapy two times a day… I was training and I felt a pain in my knee, but I’d fight anyways. In the next day, I felt my knee again and couldn’t train anymore”, said Tavares.
After two canceled bouts this year, Thiago is still hopeful to enter in the octagon one more time in 2009. “Maybe I’ll fight in December or in January… I’ll recover it well and be back like a monster… In December, I’ll be back and everything will be alright”, finished Thiago.
