Dana White finally talked about the controversy negotiation with Dan Henderson. With rumors of a possibility signing with Strikeforce, the UFC president said, in exclusive interview to MMAJunkie, that the former Pride champion still didn’t sign a new contract with the event.
“We're at a stalemate right now," White said. "The money that (Henderson) is asking for would make him by far the highest-paid guy in the UFC. The negotiations are done. I made (Henderson) an offer, and I guarantee you the offer that I made him, Strikeforce can't pay".
Although White doesn’t reveal how much Henderson asked, we may have an idea based on the UFC president exclusive to TATAME Magazine earlier this year. In the interview, Dana said that the highest payment made on the history of the event were to Chuck Liddell, who received US$ 5 million for one fight.
