Peçanha “earns respect” with quick submission

Fighting for the fourth time in 2009, the third in United States, Leonardo Peçanha returned with victory in the MMA rings last weekend. Against Aaron Meisner on RIE 3 (Respect Is Earned), the Brazilian took the victory on the first round, submitting with a rear naked choke. “They cancelled the main event, so my fight was the last of the night, and I submitted him quickly in the first round”, celebrates Peçanha, who came from a loss to Alexandre “Baixinho”. At the same night, Filipe Arantes submitted Lester Caslow with a rear naked choke on the first round.
