Since Royce Gracie’s loss to Matt Hughes at UFC 60, in 2006, the fans waited to see another Gracie inside the octagon. And the wait will be over at UFC 109, when Rolles Gracie makes his debut in the American octagon against the British Mustapha Al-Turk. Coming from three fast submissions at AOW and IFL, the Gracie faces the biggest challenge in his career, despite Al-Turk’s two losses in the octagon, bring knocked out by Cheick Kongo and Mirko Cro Cop.
After his third victory, Rolles spoke with TATAME’s editor Marcelo Alonso about de desire of fighting in the UFC. “Every fighter’s dream is fight for the UFC, but I want to go there when I think I’m ready. I don’t wanna get there and then leave”, Gracie said, without considering Brock Lesnar, the UFc heavyweight champion, unbeatable. “There are a lot of guys there able to beat him”.
