No Ring of Combat 24, que ocorreu no dia 17 de abril em New Jersey, Estados Unidos, mais uma vez os brasileiros mostraram que são bons de luta... E de mata-leão. Invicto após dez lutas no Brasil, Charles do Bronx’s Oliveira (Bronxs GT/ Gold Team Fighters USA) estreou em solo americano em grande estilo, na luta principal do ROC 24 em luta válida pelo cinturão peso leve.
Contra o campeão do evento, Dom Stanco, que não perdia há seis lutas, Charles não tomou conhecimento e mostrou o jogo de chão apurado, pegando as costas do adversário e ajustando o mata-leão com 3min33s de luta. Na luta anterior, mais show de Jiu-Jitsu. Aluno de Jorge Patino Macaco, Plínio Cruz enfrentou Rafael Sapo (Gracie Barra BH) pelo cinturão peso médio da organização, mas o título foi para o quartel general da Gracie. Depois de um primeiro round movimentado, Sapo travou o mata-leão e conquistou a cinta, garantindo a hegemonia brasileira na Terra do Tio Sam.
