After defeating Denis Roberts, the black belt Rômulo Barral faced Saulo Ribeiro and was eliminated of ADCC 2009. After been beat, the athlete spoke with TATAME.com in Barcelona ,Spain
“He had more experience... I was winning, because he had two negative points, and I thought the fight had ended there, I thought he couldn’t pass my guard, but he could with one minute left“, regrets the athlete. Convoked on the last time to go to the competition, Barral doesn’t believes that his performance was prejudiced because of that.
"I was training with and without kimono, wasn’t because of that I was lost. I could fight better and took there. Now I’ll wait to see if there’s place for me on the absolute (laugh)“. On the semifinal Saulo faces Fabrício Werdum, looking for a spot on the final against Jeff Monson or Roberto Abreu.
