Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva was defeated by Fabrício Werdum at his Strikeforce debut, last Saturday, but the American Top Team heavyweight is happy with his performance.
"I think both of us can be proud of the fight", Silva said, unhappy by letting the victory in judges’ hands. "I think that I won the first round, and I think that the second round was pretty close. I think he won the third round. I got tired, and I left it in the judges’ hands".
In the first round, Bigfoot almost got the TKO victory. "I was feeling very comfortable with my striking. I put him in trouble. I was feeling very good standing up game, so much so that I let him stand up", finished the Brazilian.

Antônio “Pezão” não saiu com a vitória no duelo contra Fabrício Werdum, no último sábado pelo Strikeforce, mas ficou satisfeito com o seu desempenho. Na coletiva de imprensa, o lutador da American Top Team falou sobre o combate, que quase terminou no primeiro round.
“Eu estava confortável na trocação, e senti que o coloquei em perigo. Estava muito bem em pé, tanto que o deixei levantar, mas ele tem sangue brasileiro e continuou vindo”, disse Pezão, que acabou sendo derrotado na decisão unânime dos juízes.
“Eu acho que venci o primeiro round e o segundo foi muito parelho, mas eu acho que ele venceu o terceiro, eu cansei um pouco”, revelou o atleta, orgulhoso do show dado dentro do octagon. “Acho que foi uma grande luta, mas eu deixei nas mãos dos juízes. Acho que ambos podemos ficar orgulhosos da luta”, finalizou o casca-grossa.
