To celebrate the 15th aniversary of TATAME, we selected facts and caracters that marked MMA and Jiu-Jitsu world since the Newspaper The Tatame, launched in November 1994, until these days.

TATAME’s birth is a result of the revolution started on the marcial arts world by Royce and Rickson Gracie. After years making hamburgers, cleaning and teaching Jiu-Jitsu on his house’s garage, in California, Rorion Gracie, Hélio Gracie’s older son, finally could associate with a Hollywood productor and make his dream of realize a tournament between representatives of many marcial arts come true. That way, in November 1993, was borning The Ultimate Fighting Championship...

Para comemorar o aniversário de 15 anos da TATAME, selecionamos os fatos e personagens

que mais marcaram o mundo do MMA e Jiu-Jitsu desde os tempos do Jornal O Tatame, lançado em novembro de 1994, até os dias de hoje.

O nascimento da TATAME é resultado da revolução iniciada no mundo das artes marciais por Royce e Rickson Gracie. Depois de anos fritando hambúrgueres, fazendo faxinas e ensinando Jiu-Jitsu na garagem de sua casa na Califórnia, Rorion Gracie, filho mais velho de Hélio Gracie, finalmente conseguiu se associar a um produtor de Hollywood e colocar em prática seu sonho de realizar um torneio entre representantes de diversas artes marciais. Assim nascia em novembro de 1993, o The Ultimate Fighting Championship...
