Os próximos meses serão marcantes para a história do MMA. A primeira família do Vale Tudo, os Gracies estarão de volta ao grande palco do esporte, e chegam com tudo. Com estreia marcada para o dia 6 de fevereiro, Rolles encara Mustapha Al Turk, enquanto Renzo mede forças com Matt Hughes, no dia 10 de abril.

Debutando no octagon, Rolles se mostrou animado. “Estou amarradão com essa estreia. O treinamento está muito bom, melhor impossível”, disse o casca-grossa, que venceu as três lutas que fez antes de assinar com o Ultimate.

“É bom estar de volta às origens. Prezo muito minha família, saber de onde vim e a família ficou famosa aqui nos Estados Unidos devido ao UFC. É bom estar voltando a nossa casa, estou vindo para ficar e conquistar meu lugar lá”.

Bem mais experiente, Renzo quer brilhar em sua estreia, mas também tem como objetivo vingar a derrota de Royce a Hughes, em 2006. “Vou cobrar umas dívidas antigas dele... Vamos empatar isso aí, vai ficar um a um”, disse o lutador ao canal Combate.

E as lutas estão mexendo com toda a família. Outro veterano dos ringues, Royler comentou os confrontos. “Se eu tivesse que apostar um dinheiro apostaria no Renzo. Sou suspeito para falar, mas acho que é uma boa luta para ele. Acho que ele tem tudo para arrancar o couro do Matt Hughes”, disse, falando sobre a luta de Rolles.
