Quatro brasileiros vencem no MMA suíço

Enquanto toda a atenção se voltava para o UFC 112, quatro brasileiros deram show em outro octagon no último sábado. No “Strength and Honor Championship”, evento que aconteceu em Genebra, Suíça, os quatro atletas tupiniquins venceram suas lutas, com direito a três finalizações e três cinturões conquistados.

O primeiro a entrar em ação foi Alexandre “Batatinha”, atleta da Gracie Barra que pegou o braço de Cedric Jouvet no segundo round. Em seguida, o casca-grossa da Nova União Yan Cabral foi rápido e, em apenas 90 segundos, despachou Djordje Beric com um triângulo de mão. Igor Araujo foi mais rápido e, em apenas 47 segundos da primeira etapa, bateu Vaidas Valancius, também com um triângulo de mão. O último a lutar foi Marcelo Costa, que superou Jean Robert Monier na decisão unânime.

While all attention turned to the UFC 112, four Brazilians have another show in the octagon last Saturday. In "Strength and Honor Championship, an event that occurred in Geneva, Switzerland, the four athletes tupiniquins overcame their struggles, with the right three finishers and won three belts.

First into action was Alexander "Small potatoes," Gracie Barra athlete who grabbed the arm of Cedric Jouvet in the second round. Then, the bounder of the New Union Yan Cabral was fast and in just 90 seconds, sent Djordje Beric with one hand triangle. Igor Araujo was faster and in just 47 seconds of the first stage, beat Vaidas Valancius, also with a hand triangle. The last fight was Marcelo Costa, who beat Jean Robert Monier unanimous decision.
