After the victory against Dean Lister, in his MFC debut, Thales Leites goes to the second challenge on May 7th against the wrestler Jesse Taylor in the main event of MFC 25. The Californian from Team Quest won half of his fights by submission. Due to that fact, Thales believes that the opponent’s game will match his.
“I believe that our game matches, I’ve been watching his fights and I could tell he’s really explosive. He goes and takes the guy. Now it’s just wait and see, practice, study his game and adapt myself”, commented Thales, who was hoping that the fight was for the belt.
“It would be a fight for the belt and I don’t know why it changed all of a sudden. I want to fight independently if it’s for a belt or not, but of course that when you fight in a competition, you want to reach the top of it. I’m focusing on this particular fight. You will see an embattled guy, who’s always trying for a knockout or a submission. I’m going for a combat, always, and I believe he will do so. It’s has everything that takes for an excellent fight”, says the black-belt.

Após a vitória em cima de Dean Lister, em sua estreia no evento canadense MFC, Thales Leites vai para o segundo duelo, no dia 7 de maio, contra o wrestler Jesse Taylor na luta principal do MFC 25. O californiano treina na Team Quest e venceu metade de suas lutas por finalização. Diante desse fato, Thales acredita que o jogo do gringo vai casar bem com o seu.
“Acredito que encaixa bem o nosso jogo, andei vendo umas lutas dele e ele é bem explosivo, entra para derrubar, então acho que vai ser uma boa luta, se eu cair por baixo, posso me virar bem e fazer meu jogo, vamos ver como vai ser, agora é treinar, estudar o jogo dele e ir me adaptando”, comentou Thales, que esperava que a luta valesse pelo cinturão.
“Seria uma luta pelo cinturão e não sei por quê em cima da hora mudou, eu quero é lutar independente do cinturão ou não, mas é claro que quando você luta em um evento, quer sempre chegar no topo. Estou focado nessa luta, podem esperar de mim um cara aguerrido, que sempre está buscando o nocaute ou a finalização, vou buscar o combate o tempo todo e acredito que ele também, tem tudo para ser uma excelente luta”, finalizou o faixa-preta.
