The story between Gracie’s family and the Japanese Kazushi Sakuraba is about to add an extra chapter. On the next Saturday (29), Ralek Gracie will do his third MMA fight against a Japanese legend, which has beat Royce, Renzo, Royler and Ryan. “For me it’s just one more fight, an opportunity to prove myself”, said Ralek to MMAHeat, complimenting the Japanese decision to confront him even after the age of 40. “We can’t underestimate him. He is getting to the end of his career, but the fact that he had accepted this fight says a lot about him. He is a wonderful fighter, it’ll be a great opportunity… I’m excited”, tells the young fighter, revealing the advise his relatives gave him, since they all had confronted Sakuraba: “don’t get caught on the kimura (laughs)… And I can’t punch him… If I do so, they’ll cut my head off (laughs)”, jokes. In five fights against the Gracies, Sakuraba won four, including two submissions by kimura, over Renzo and Royler.

No próximo sábado (29), Ralek Gracie fará sua terceira luta de MMA contra a lenda japonesa, que já derrotou Royce, Renzo, Royler e Ryan. “Para mim é apenas mais uma luta, uma oportunidade de me provar”, disse Ralek ao site MMAHeat, elogiando a decisão do japonês de enfrentá-lo aos 40 anos.
“Não podemos subestimá-lo. Ele está chegando ao final da carreira, mas aceitar uma luta dessas diz muito sobre ele. Ele é um lutador maravilhoso, será uma grande oportunidade... Estou empolgado”, conta o jovem lutador, revelando o conselho que recebeu dos familiares que já enfrentaram Sakuraba: “não seja pego na kimura (risos)... E eu não posso bater... Se eu bater, arrancam a minha cabeça (risos)”, se diverte. Em cinco lutas contra os Gracie, Sakuraba venceu quatro, incluindo duas finalizações por kimura, sobre Renzo e Royler.
