Currently in vacations in Rio de Janeiro, Gleison Tibau has been through a lot of distinctive situations in the last five years of UFC. After two consecutive losses, the AAT fighter was held on the tightrope, but currently the moment is more favorable. In a chat with TATAME the tough guy commented his style change to keep himself on the event and go after the lightweight title, according to his plans, on 2011. With a fight scheduled for September 15, against Jim Miller, Tibau guaranteed he’s going for a knockout, just as he did on the previous fight, against Caol Uno, revealed the secret of his conditioning done by the Americans, who, according to him, can turn athlete into “mutants”, commented the difficulties that athletes that comes from Jiu-Jitsu are having to submit and a lot more. Tibau: “Tem que dançar conforme a música”

O brasileiro Gelison Tibau chegou a ficar na corda bamba após duas derrotas seguidas no UFC. Em sua última luta no evento, contra Caol Uno, o potiguar fugiu um pouco de suas características e nocauteou o japonês ainda no primeiro round. Depois das duas derrotas que sofreu, o lutador resolveu mudar seu estilo de lutar para se manter no UFC como confidenciou à TATAME.
“O UFC gosta e o público americano adora ver a trocação. É claro que eu não esqueço nunca minhas origens, mas hoje em dia penso em buscar o nocaute, pois está muito mais difícil de finalizar do que antigamente", revela Tibau. "Os americanos estão muito fortes, é difícil segurá-los no chão e realmente nós temos que dançar conforme a música... Estou mais confiante na parte de Boxe e a partir de agora pretendo sempre ir em busca do nocaute”.
Em entrevista exclusiva ao site TATAME, o peso leve da American Top Team falou sobre a próxima luta, contra o americano Jim Miller no dia 15 de setembro, falou sobre as férias no Rio de Janeiro e revelou o sonho de disputar o cinturão em 2011, apontando o havaiano BJ Penn como favorito na revanche contra Frankie Edgar.
