O evento de MMA Pancrase, que aconteceu nesse sábado (5) na capital japonesa, contou com uma situação para lá de inusitada. Shigeyuki Uchiyama estava a caminho de uma vitória sobre Masaya "J-Taro", controlando seu adversário com socos e joelhadas. As coisas estavam boas para o lutador até que Masaya lhe aplicou um double leg e Uchiyama caiu através das cordas e teve parte de sua orelha decepada. Não ficou claro como a orelha do lutador foi arrancada, mas o sangue podia ser visto na parte superior e inferior cordas. A luta foi interrompida aos 2min57s do segundo round e Masaya saiu com a vitória por TKO. Em ação no evento, o brasileiro Jorjão Rodrigues acabou derrotado pelo experiente Satoru Kitaoka na decisão dos juízes.

Shigeyuki Uchiyama was en route to a victory over Masaya "J-Taro", controlling his opponent with punches and knees. Things were good for the fighter until Masaya applied a double leg and Uchiyama fell through the ropes and had part of his ear cut off. It was unclear how the fighter's ear was torn, but the blood could be seen at the top and bottom chords. The fight was stopped at the second round 2min57s Masaya and came out with the win by TKO. In action at the event, the Brazilian Jorjão Robertson was defeated by the experienced Satoru Kitaoka in the decision of the judges.
