One of the most respected fighters in the history of MMA, both inside and outside the ring, Wanderlei Silva gave a "framed" in Chael Sonnen. Upset with the provocations of the U.S. to Anderson Silva, reaching sacanear the Nogueira brothers and Brazil, the Mad Dog took a trip to Texas, where he was honored to give advice "intimidating" to Sonnen.
"I think you can make a challenge, talk about the fight to promote, all right, but you have to be careful what you talk about Brazil. You keep saying bad things about Brazil ... You do not know Brazil. You have to respect what you do not know. I heard you talking about the Nogueira brothers. These guys are the history of the sport. You have to respect them. Chateado com as provocações do americano com Anderson Silva, chegando a sacanear os irmãos Nogueira e o Brasil, o Cachorro Louco aproveitou uma visita ao Texas, onde foi homenageado, para dar um conselho “intimidador” a Sonnen.
"Eu acho que você pode fazer um desafio, falar da luta, promover, tudo bem, mas você tem que tomar cuidado com o que você falar, sobre o Brasil. Você fica falando coisas ruins sobre o Brasil... Você não conhece o Brasil. Você tem que respeitar o que você não conhece. Eu ouvi você falando sobre os irmãos Nogueira. Esses caras são a história do esporte. Você tem que respeitá-los. Não faça mais isso, é perigoso. No Brasil nós temos um ditado: quem respeita não perde os dentes", afirmou o ex-campeão do Pride, olho no olho com Sonnen, que apenas sacudia a cabeça. Einige der Kämpfe im Detail betrachtet:
IVAN MUSARDO (SUI) vs MICHAEL REID (GB)
Ivan Musardo, einer der erfolgreichsten Kämpfer der Schweiz, fackelt nicht lange. In seiner Profikarriere hat er 14 seiner 20 Profikämpfe in der ersten Runde beendet. Sein Kampfstil ist unerbittlich und effektiv, seine Schläge präzise und seine Bodentechniken suchen in der Schweiz seinesgleichen. Diesmal legt er sich aber mit einem ebenso gefährlichen Gegner an, dem unglaublich zähen Michael Reid aus Nordirland, der in der Vergangenheit bewiesen hat, dass er Gegner mit einem einzigen Schlag ausknocken kann. Dieser Kampf dürfte nicht über die volle Rundenzeit gehen.
PATRICK DE CARO (CH) vs MIKE WIATKO (BEL)
Patrick DeCaro zählt zu einem der stärksten Bodenkämpfer des Landes, der junge Architekt aus Lausanne konnte sich in den USA den Weltmeistertitel im Grappling mit und ohne Gi der NAGA Championship sichern, ausserdem gewann er die 88kg Klasse bei ADCC dieses Jahr. Bei Shooto wird er auf einen brandgefährlichen Gegner aus Belgien treffen: Mike Wiatko. Wiatko ist in all seinen fünf MMA Kämpfen ungeschlagen und konnte auch das belgische Shooto Runner-Up Turnier gewinnen.
Man darf also gespannt sein, was diese beiden Weltklassekämpfer im Ring anrichten werden und ein unberechenbarer und schneller Kampfverlauf dürfte garantiert sein, wenn diese beiden Athleten im Halbschwergewicht (-83kg) aufeinandertreffen.
CLAUDEMIR "TICO" SOUZA (BRA) VS KRISS LARCIN (BEL)
Claudemir "Tico" Souza ist ein gefährlicher Profikämpfer aus Brasilien. Die Hälfte seiner Siege kam durch KO, die andere durch Submission. Sprich man ist nirgends vor ihm sicher. Er trifft aber auf einen ebenbürtigen Gegner aus Belgien: Der belgische Shooto und M-1 Kämpfer Kriss Larcin. Ob der Kampf im Stand bleibt oder auf den Boden geht, so oder so darf man sich auf ein hartes Gefecht freuen.
VOLKAN OEZDEMIR (CH) VS MARTIN VATH (DE)
Martin Vath und Volkan Oezdemir teilen ein Schicksal, bei beiden lief es beim letzten Shooto nicht wie geplant. Martin Vath, der bayrische Combat Sambo Champion der alle seine Siege frühzeitig errungen hat musste sich vor einem Jahr dem starken Haris Reiz geschlagen geben. Volkans Gegner ist beim letzten Shooto in letzter Minute abgesprungen und er konnte sein Profi-Debüt nicht geben. Für Shooto ist dies Grund genug diese beiden starken Kämpfer zu vereinen und beiden eine zweite Chance zu geben, sich im Ring zu beweisen.
LEE McKIBBIN (GB) vs GREGOR HERB (GER)
Ein weiterer Leckerbissen für die eingefleischten Fans und den Gelegenheitszuschauer dürfte sich bei diesem Kampf präsentieren, wenn Gregor Herb, der die Auszeichnung für Deutschlands stärksten Bodenkämpfer hält, gegen Lee "The Dragon" McKibbin antritt. Während Gregor sich seine Sporen bei internationalen Shows wie M-1 oder WFC verdiente, ist Lee ein Stammgast im britsichen "Cage Warriors". Der Kampf wird bei einem Catchweight von 85kg ausgetragen und dürfte Potenzial für einen "Fight of the Night" haben.
ROUVEN KURATH (CH) vs ALAN OMER (GER)
Und erneut präsentiert euch Shooto Switzerland einen lang erwarteten Leckerbissen am 4. September: Der unorthodoxe Schweizer Kämpfer Rouven Kurath aus Vevey gegen Deutschlands Nr. 1 im Federgewicht. Rouven konnte bereits in Schweden, Deutschland und der Schweiz sein Können unter Beweis stellen, der gebürtige Iraker Alan Omer ist zwar erst 21, hat aber bereits 17 Profikämpfe auf dem Buckel und war sogar BAMMA Champion in England. Kann Rouven durch seinen unorthodoxen Stil den gefährlichen Omer neutralisieren, oder setzt sich Alans Dominanz durch?
BORIS RACIC (CH) vs NICO MANDERLIER (BEL)
Boris Racic ist ein routinierter Veteran im Schweizer MMA, er kämpfte bereits bei MAX und Shooto. In der diesjährigen Auflage von Shooto Switzerland trifft er auf den Belgier Nico Manderlier, der ein erfahrener Shooto Belgien Kämpfer ist. Beide Athleten hatten im letzten Kampf eine Niederlage hinzunehmen, weshalb auch beide mehr als motiviert sind diese wieder gut zu machen.

Shooto Switzerland ein voller Erfolg
Jeder der da war konnte sofort sehen, dass Shooto Switzerland nicht einfach eine weitere MMA-Veranstaltung war, sondern das Kampfsportspektakel des Jahres. Alle Kämpfe wurden auf höchstem Niveau geführt und besonders hervorheben konnte man die Fairness der Kämpfer und den Respekt untereinander. Ausser dem Hauptkampf wurden alle Kämpe vorzeitig beendet.

- Marcelo Lopez (CH) besiegt Andreas Birgels (D) nach 35 Sekunden der ersten Runde durch Verletzung von Andreas und Referee Stop.
- Daniel Weichel (D) besiegt Ivan Mussardo (CH) nach harten drei Runden in einem sepktakulären Kampf. Punkterichterentscheid von 30 - 27; 30 - 29 und 28 - 29.

Com seis confrontos entre lutadores do Brasil e dos Estados Unidos, a principal atração da noite é o combate entre Anderson Silva e Chael Sonnen, válido pelo cinturão dos pesos médios. The seventh edition of Mas Fight, which promises to heat the city of Itatiaia, São Paulo, suffered some modifications on its card. Charles Maicon suffered a serious injury on his knee ligament and has been replaced by Felipe Andrade, who also got hurt, giving his vacancy to Fábio Ramos who will confront Juliano Belgine. But he was not the only one to leave the card.
A very unexpected story left Regiclaudio “Queixada” out of Max Fight. The tough guy has been training with Miguel Repanas on the city of Itu, and during the night he heard a noise on his roof. When he went out to check what it was, he saw a thief on his roof. The athlete reacted and started fighting him, but the roof broke and “Queixada” suffered a deep cut on his head and was stitched 20 times, but he did not lose his pose. “The thief was broken, I hit him a lot”, said “Queixada”, who has been replaced by Jadyson Costa.
The third change was the entrance of Fabiano Ferreira, and he will confront Samuel Quito. Organizer of the event, Ricardo regretted the misses, but was satisfied with the replacements. “Usually I’m lucky on my cards, because only a few had injuries before their fights, but this time we “loss” many athletes before disclosing the card, besides four after, but we’re lucky that Sao Paulo has so many great athletes and managed to replace them”, commented. - Pedro Iriê (Ichigeki) confronts Adriano Martins (Top Life AM);
A pacata cidade de Itatiba, localizada a 70km de São Paulo, ficou movimentada na tarde de hoje com a chegada dos atletas do Max Fight 7, evento organizado em parceria com a produtora Rally Brasil. Com a pesagem realizada dentro de um restaurante, todos os atletas bateram peso e estão prontos para sacudir a cidade.
Entre as super lutas da noite, a promessa Pedro Iriê encara o duríssimo Adriano Martins, enquanto Igor Chatubinha, próximo candidato ao cinturão mundial do Shooto, luta contra Jadyson Costa, atleta da Barbosa Jiu-Jitsu. Guilherme Carcaça chegou a Itatiba focado na luta contra Munil Adriano, mas o atleta ficou doente e precisou ser substituído em cima da hora pelo carioca Claudiere Freitas.
Nos combates preliminares, destaque para o confronto entre o invicto Wagner Caldeirão, campeão do GP do Ichigeki, e o paranaense Luis Lagarto. "Se tudo der certo, devo lutar no próximo final de semana no Ichigeki, numa luta casada contra o Jan Soukup", adianta Wagner, revelando o possível duelo contra o atleta da República Tcheca, que venceu Espedito Pantera em 2009, no Ichigeki.

Last night, the Brazilians were great attractions of Impact FC 2, which happened in Australia, but not all of them got good results. On the main event of the evening, Pedro Rizzo used the same old efficient low kicks game and knocked out Ken Shamrock, while Paulo Filho battled for 15 minutes to a draw against Denis Kang. Back to the rings after three years, Murilo Bustamante end up being beat by Jesse Taylor. Watch the videos of the fights below.
Great Brazilian names got into action on Impact FC, event which happened last Saturday in Sydney, Australia. Pedro Rizzo and Murilo Ninja rocked last night. On the main event of the evening, Pedro ran over the veteran Ken Shamrock, beating him by knockout on the very first round. Ninja beat Jeremy May by submission, also on the initial round. The confrontation everybody was waiting for ended with a draw between Paulo Filho and Denis Kang.
One of the most waited bouts of the event marked the comeback of Murilo Bustamante, former middleweight champion of UFC to the rings after three years off. But Brazilian Top Team’s party was not complete, because Murilo was beat by Jesse Taylor on the second round, by TKO. Pride’s former fighter, Daniel Acácio also lost, being bet by Paul Daley on the final round. Completing the Brazilian participation, Glover Teixeira beat Mark Peseli by TKO.
