Documentary about MMA to air on Brazilian TV

The producers of the Brazilian documentary “Dias de Luta” (Days of Fight), which shows the story of several MMA fighters, just achieved a new baseline of importance. “I just signed with the Brazil’s Channel the exhibition of the movie. The channel, which is specialized in Brazilian movies and is not focused on the sports, was very interested on the stories of the MMA fighters and will display the “Dias de Luta” on its programming”, tells the producer Gilson Val to TATAME. The debut of the documentary on the channel will be on July 20, at 10pm, with the rerun on the following day (21), at 4pm. “I believe TATAME subscribers will have interest on this movie which represents a healthy life of MMA fighters”, recommends Gilson. Canal Brasil exibe documentário sobre MMA

Os produtores do documentário nacional Dias de Luta, que mostra a história de vida de vários lutadores de MMA, acaba de conquistar uma importante vitória. “Acabo de fechar com o Canal Brasil a exibição do filme. O canal Brasil, que é um canal voltado ao cinema nacional e que não tem o seu direcionamento para esporte, ficou muito interessado na historia de vida dos lutadores de Vale Tudo e exibirá o Dias de Luta em sua programação”, conta o produtor Gilson Val à TATAME. A estreia do documentário no canal será no dia 20 de julho, às 22 horas, com reprise no dia seguinte (21), às 16 horas. “Acredito que os leitores da TATAME terão interesse em assistir um filme que representa de forma saudável o esporte e os lutadores de MMA”, recomenda Gilson. Assista abaixo um trailer do documentário:

In a sign that mixed martial arts has truly made it, the sport was satirized on Sunday's new installment of the "The Simpsons" on Fox.

In the episode, dubbed "The Great Wife Hope," Marge takes on mixed martial arts after Springfield's male population embraces the local MMA organization UPKCC, the acronym for the Ultimate Punch, Kick and Choke Championship.

Marge later competes after UPKCC president Chet Englebrick agrees to shut down the promotion if Marge can beat him in a cage match.

MMA fans can appreciate the show writers' obvious knowledge of MMA, including references to a septagon, tribal bicep tattoos, and Marge's training regiment, which includes boxing with Drederick Tatum, jiu jitsu with local martial-arts instructor Akira, and wrestling with Mr. Burns. In fact, during one exchange in which Marge talks about getting the sport shut down, Nelson explains.

"You can't stop an entire sport," he said. "You'd need several other mothers and sympathetic school officials and clergy men."

"The Great Wife Hope," part of "The Simpsons" season No. 23, is the 444th episode in the series' long-running history.

Caíram na rede algumas cenas do próximo filme de Sylvester Stallone, "Os Miseráveis", que teve cenas rodadas no Brasil. O vídeo foi postado como parte da campanha de divulgação de um evento de vale-tudo que acontece nos EUA em 29 de agosto - o lutador brasileiro Rodrigo Minotauro fez uma participação no longa.
