The feminine Jiu-Jitsu is growing each day more, and the mat is getting small to some athletes. Beatriz Mesquita turned over the last year and passed thru all the opponents that agreed with the battle. On the fourth edition of the South American of Jiu-Jitsu of CBJJ, the athlete once again gave a show of ground and showed her superiority.
On the category, the brown belt scored 17x0 over the black belt Lauriane Clarice (Chute Boxe), finishing the fight with a choke in less than two minutes. On the absolute, the athlete passed by two tough girls, winning by points, until she stopped at Luzia Fernandes (Gracie Barra Detonando), making one of the toughest fights of the event, losing by 3x0.
“The toughest fight was the final with Luzia, first because she’s an excellent athlete on Jiu-Jitsu and Judô, and also the weight difference made it harder. But I made the ten minutes of fight without letting the way free to her. Just one time that she could pass the guard, but I put the fight back and we stood on that until the end”, Mesquita explains.
The athlete is representing a lot of power on the brown belt, defeating black belts easily, and talks about her development. “I think that I’m developing my Jiu-Jitsu and I’m going very well on the new belt. The harder is to fight with the black belts, but I’m overcoming well this new challenge. I expect to keep going well to come sharp on the black belt, in one or two years”, said.
Wthout thinking about vacations, Beatriz prepares for one more competition, the World League Pro Jiu-Jitsu, that takes place on December 5 and 6 in São Paulo

Bia vence Sul-Americano de olho na WLPJJ

O Jiu-Jitsu feminino vem crescendo cada dia mais, e o tatame tem ficado pequeno para algumas atletas. Bia Mesquita virou o ano passando o carro em todas as adversárias que toparam a batalha. Na quarta edição do Sul-Americano de Jiu Jitsu da CBJJ, a atleta mais uma vez deu um show de chão e mostrou sua superioridade.
Na categoria a atleta seguiu sobrando, fazendo apenas uma luta e marcando 17x0 no placar sobre a faixa preta Lauriane Clarice (Chute Boxe), fechando a conta em dos minutos com um justo estrangulamento das costas. No Absoluto a atleta passou por duas pedreiras, vencendo por pontos, até esbarrar em Luzia Fernandes (Gracie Barra Detonando), fazendo uma das lutas mais duras do evento. Luzia levou a melhor, conseguindo marcar 3x0, com uma passagem de guarda.
“A luta mais dura foi a final com a Luzia, primeiro porque ela é uma excelente atleta do Jiu-Jitsu e do Judô, e também a diferença de peso dificulta bastante. Mas eu fiz os dez minutos de luta sem dar muita brecha para ela. Só uma hora ela conseguiu passar a guarda, mas eu repus e a luta ficou nessa até o final”, explica a casca-grossa.
A atleta vem representando muita força na faixa marrom, derrotando faixas pretas com facilidade, e comenta um pouco sobre o seu desempenho. “Acho que estou conseguindo desenvolver meu Jiu-Jitsu e estou indo muito bem na nova faixa. O mais difícil é o fato de lutar junto com as faixas-pretas, mas eu tenho superado bem esse novo desafio. Espero continuar indo bem para chegar na faixa preta bem afiada, daqui a um ou dois anos”, comentou.
Sem pensar em férias, Bia se prepara para mais uma competição, a World League Pro Jiu-Jitsu, que acontece nos dias 5 e 6 de dezembro,em São Paulo, e pagará uma premiação total de R$ 60 mil. “Estou com grandes expectativas para esse campeonato e espero conquistar o primeiro lugar do pódio para fechar o ano com chave de outro”, finalizou a casca-grossa.
