Cris: “It’ll be hard to take this belt from me“

Cristiane Cyborg needed four fights and three knockouts to be on top of female MMA in theUnited States, and she doesn’t want to leave it so soon. In an exclusive interview to TATAME.com, the knockout artist talked about the changes that the title brought to her life and the expectation to the first title defense, against Marloes Coenen.

“I knew that she would be my next opponent”, revealed Cris, happy with the opportunities that came after the conquest on Strikeforce. “The opportunities are raising, even on the event, I have more visibility, and people recognize me on the street, they’re are supporting my work... I got the belt and now it’s gonna be hard to take it away from me”, guarantees the Chute Boxe athlete, who talked about the trainings with Tito Ortiz on United States, the next fight of her husband, Evangelista Cyborg, at the same event, and the future: "I see myself in the UFC". Deixou chegar, já era. Cris Cyborg precisou de quatro lutas e três nocautes para chegar ao topo do MMA feminino nos Estados Unidos, e não está disposta a deixar o posto tão cedo. Em entrevista à TATAME, a casca-grossa falou sobre as mudanças que o título trouxeram para sua vida e a expectativa para a primeira defesa de cinturão, que deve acontecer contra Marloes Coenen.

“Eu já sabia que ela ia ser a minha próxima oponente”, revelou Cris, feliz com as oportunidades que surgiram após a conquista no Strikeforce. “As oportunidades aumentam mais, até mesmo no evento, tenho mais visibilidade, e as pessoas me reconhecem na rua, estão valorizando o meu trabalho...
