Adept of Twitter, Lyoto (@lyotomachidafw) confirmed what TATAME already published last week: the new meeting between the Brazilians will happen on May 1st 2010, without a chosen location yet. On November’s edition of TATAME Magazine, both athletes already talked about the rematch.
“Watching the fight later I saw that I won four rounds, but I’m an UFC athlete and I respect their criteria”, Lyoto said, talking about the strategy used by his opponent on the combat. “On the past fights, I could put my strategy in a better way, so I think it was a strategy game. We’re fighting for the most disputed category of the biggest event of the world, we’re talking about high level”.
On the other hand, Shogun believes he was superior. “I’m sure that I won. Everyone thought that I won, but I think that they gave him the victory because of some interests”, analyzes the challenger, talking about the strategy to the revenge. “I’ll study with my team to see all that again. He will get in different on the next fight, that’s for sure”.

Campeão dos meio-pesados do UFC, Lyoto Machida também está usando a nova mania da internet para se comunicar diretamente com os seus fãs. Adepto do Twitter, Lyoto (@lyotomachidafw) confirmou o que a TATAME já publicou na semana passada: o reencontro entre os brasileiro acontecerá no dia 1º de maio de 2010, em local ainda indefinido.
Na edição de novembro da Revista TATAME, que está nas bancas de todo o Brasil, os dois atletas já comentaram a revanche. “Vendo a luta depois vi que venci quatro rounds, mas sou um atleta do UFC e respeito os critérios que eles usam”, disse Lyoto, comentando a estratégia usada por seu adversário no duelo. “Nas lutas passadas, consegui impor a minha estratégia de uma forma melhor, então acho que foi um jogo de estratégia. Estamos disputando a categoria mais disputada do maior evento do mundo, estamos falando de alto nível”.
Por outro lado, Shogun acredita que foi superior. “Tenho certeza que venci. Todo mundo achou que venci, mas acho que deram a vitória para ele por alguns interesses”, analisa o curitibano, despistando sobre a estratégia para a revanche. “Esse ponto eu ainda não sei... Vou estudar com a minha equipe para rever tudo isso. Ele vai entrar diferente na próxima luta, com certeza”, finalizou Shogun.
