For many years, Cristiano Marcello worked on the ground game of names like Wanderlei Silva and Maurísio “Shogun” at Chute Boxe team. With a new home, the CM System leader received a surprising visit this week. “I was at home with my wife when the phone rang and there was a guy wanting to talk with me. When I hang up, I recognized him,” tells the black belt, who found out that Wanderlei Silva was in his gym.

Coming to Brazil after a great victory at UFC 110, against Michael Bisping, “The Axe Murderer” visited the ex trainer in Curtiba. “I’m very proud of having Wanderlei visiting me… Before my daughter’s bith, one of the greatest emotions in my life was Wanderlei who gave me,” remembers Marcello, who gave the BJJ black belt to Silva. “I’m very happy he visited me, I don’t have words to describe it. Durante muitos anos, Cristiano Marcello afiou o jogo de chão de nomes como Wanderlei Silva e Maurício “Shogun” na equipe Chute Boxe. De casa nova, o líder da CM System recebeu uma visita ilustre. “Eu estava em casa com a minha mulher, o telefone tocou e um cara queria falar comigo. Quando atendi, reconheci a voz na hora”, conta o faixa-preta, descobrindo de surpresa que Wanderlei Silva estava em sua academia. “Corri para lá na hora”, revela.

A passeio no Brasil, Wanderlei, que recentemente derrotou Michael Bisping no UFC 110, aproveitou para visitar o amigo e ex-treinador em Curitiba. “É o meu maior orgulho ter o Wanderlei me visitando... Antes do nascimento da minha filha, uma das maiores emoções da minha vida quem me deu foi ele”, disse o emocionado Cristiano, que deu a faixa preta de Jiu-Jitsu a Wanderlei. “Fico muito feliz dele ter me visitado, não tenho nem palavras.
