The Strikeforce event on June 26th is bound to be one for the books as Strikeforce mixed martial arts joins up with M-1 Global to bring some of the toughest fighters in the world together within one caged ring. This is an extra special event because it combines Strikeforce MMA with M-1 Global, which allows it to be a complete world showcase of some of the world's best fighters. This showcase has a huge title card as Fedor Emelianenko (who is actually a co-owner of M-1 Global) takes on Fabricio Werdum in a heavyweight bout that promises to entertain.
Fedor Emelianenko- also known as "The Last Emperor"- holds a record of 31-1. His only recorded loss comes from the fact that his fight with Tsuyoshi Kohsaka was stopped when Emelianenko suffered a gash in the opening seconds of the fight. Even though he has a loss to tarnish his undefeated streak, "The Last Emperor" understands that numbers don't mean anything when you're inside the cage.
Fedor has been at the top as the best heavyweight in the world for the better part of the last decade. He has taken down Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipović, Mark Coleman, and Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira on his way there. On June 26th, he goes up against Fabricio Werdum (the number 9 heavyweight in the world) for a showdown that's bound to define the two fighters and the event.
Even though Emelianenko is among the top heavyweights in the world, he will have a lot on his hands going up against the jiu-jitsu technician, Fabricio Werdum. Werdum is known as "Vai Cavalo" or "Leading Horse" which speaks to his wild and free nature in the ring. It looks like Emelianenko will be tasked with taming Werdum if he wants that victory.
Despite this exciting main card, the June 26th Strikeforce will feature much more heated action. In fact, many more people are looking forward to the top woman in the world, Cris "Cyborg" Santos taking on Jan Finney. Most feel that Cyborg will take out Finney pretty easily and glide on to an effortless victory (even more so considering that Finney's nickname is "Cuddles"), but Finney has been known to be scrappy making the fight a good one to watch. Plus, seeing Cris Cyborg in action is always an event in itself.
With some of the best male heavyweight and female featherweight fighters clashing on the same night, the June 26th Strikeforce event is destined to be an exciting evening for MMA fans.

Tudo sobre o duelo entre Fedor e Werdum

O evento do Strikeforce, que acontece no dia 26 de junho, entrará para a história como a união do evento de MMA Strikeforce com o M-1 Global, e promete reunir os atletas mais duros do mundo dentro de um mesmo ringue. Esse é um evento para lá de especial porque combina Strikeforce MMA com M-1 Global, o que permite que este seja uma vitrine internacional completa dos melhores lutadores do mundo. O show conta com uma grande luta no card principal, onde Fedor Emelianenko enfrenta Fabrício Werdum em um duelo válido na categoria peso pesado, e promete ser um confronto bom de assistir.
Fedor Emelianenko – também conhecido como “O Último Imperador” – tem um cartel de 31-1. A única derrota aconteceu em uma luta contra Tsuyoshi Kohsaka, onde a mesma foi interrompida quando Emelianenko abriu um corte logo nos primeiros segundos do combate. Apesar de ter essa derrota quebrando seu cartel de invencibilidade, “O Último Imperador” acredita que os números não importam uma vez que você está dentro da jaula.
Fedor lidera o topo como o melhor peso pesado do mundo na maior parte da última década. Ele derrotou Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic, Mark Coleman, e Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira durante sua trajetória. No dia 26 de junho ele enfrentará Fabrício Werdum (considerado o 9º melhor peso pesado do mundo) para definir o futuro dos dois atletas e do evento.
Mesmo Emelianenko estando entre os melhores pesos pesados do mundo, ele vai ter bastante trabalho ao enfrentar um lutador com ótima técnica de Jiu-Jitsu. Werdum é conhecido como “Vai Cavalo”, que remete ao seu lado selvagem e seu estilo livre dentro do ringue. Parece que Emelianenko terá que domesticar Werdum se ele quiser a vitória.
Apesar deste emocionante card principal, a edição do Strikeforce no dia 26 de junho vai ter muito mais ação. Na verdade, muitas pessoas estão interessadas em ver a melhor mulher do mundo, Cris “Cyborg” Santos, encarando Jan Finney. Tudo indica que Cyborg não terá dificuldades em bater Finney e conseguir uma vitória sem muito esforço (especialmente se considerarmos que o apelido da Finney é “Ursinho”), mas Finney é conhecida por ser briguenta e fazer lutas boas de assistir. Além disso, ver Cris Cyborg lutar já é um evento particular.
