Gabrielle Garcia is more than just happy. After shinning in California, wining her second weight title and closing up the absolute dispute with her friend Luanna Alzuguir, Gabi was graduated as a black belt on the podium. “It has been a perfect year for me… I won the absolute dispute on Pan Am, Brazil, Abu Dhabi Pro’s trial, World Pro and now World. Fábio (Gurgel) helped me a lot on this work and I did my physical preparation, a lot of training… I’m thrilled”, celebrates Alliance’s athlete, thinking ahead. “Now I have to train even more to keep these titles next year”.

To reach the top is not an easy thing to do. “Actually the absolute dispute was pretty hard… I fought three times against Carol, who is a very hard girl and she’s a member of the Wrestling team too, then I confronted Bia Mesquita, who is a girl heading to the top, but I managed to submite her in less than two minutes”, celebrates, satisfied to see Alliance on the top once again. “It’s the result of hard training, there’s no mystery. To become a champion you have to train very hard and I’m very glad”, cheers, with her eyes focused on new challenges. “I’ll rest a bit and then I’ll come back to the trainings without the kimono, maybe I’ll fight the World No-Gi, but my main focus is the World Pro next year, and maybe ADCC too”, concluded.

Gabi Garcia: “Foi um ano completo pra mim”

Gabrielle Garcia está mais do que feliz. Após brilhar na Califórnia, faturando seu segundo título no peso e fechando o absoluto com Luanna Alzuguir, Gabi recebeu a faixa preta no pódio. “Foi um ano completo pra mim... Ganhei o absoluto no Pan, ganhei de absoluto no Brasileiro, ganhei a seletiva do Abu Dhabi Pro, ganhei o Mundial Profissional e agora o Mundial. O Fábio (Gurgel) me ajudou muito nesse trabalho que eu fiz com a preparação física, muito treino... Estou muito feliz”, comemora a atleta da Alliance, pensando adiante. “Agora eu tenho que treinar mais para manter estes títulos no ano que vem”.

Chegar até o topo, porém, não foi tão fácil. “Na verdade o absoluto foi bem difícil... Eu fiz três lutas, lutei com a Carol, que é uma menina muito difícil da seleção de luta olímpica também, depois lutei com a Bia Mesquita, que é uma menina que está chegando aí nas cabeças, mas eu consegui finalizar em menos de dois minutos”, comemora, satisfeita ao ver a Alliance no topo mais uma vez. “É tudo resultado do trabalho feito no treino, não tem mistério. Para ser campeão tem que treinar muito e eu estou muito feliz”, vibra, de olho em novos desafios. “Vou dar uma descansada e depois vou treinar sem quimono, talvez até eu lute o Mundial Sem Quimono, mas o foco é o Mundial Profissional no ano que vem e, quem sabe, lutar o ADCC também”, finalizou.
