After debuting with a wino n Strikeforce, beating Luke Stewart on the judges round card decision, André Galvão should return to the American octagon on August. “They said I’ll be back on August, probably along with (Rafael) Feijão or (Ronaldo) Jacaré. I’m going through a learning phase”, tells the black belt, who wants to reach the top of his division. “I want to make sure my job is done and I’ll fight against whoever they tell me to, I want to fight until I get a chance to fight for the belt”, guarantees.
LAST MINUTE REPLACEMENT
Training in Rio de Janeiro, with Rogério Camões and Josuel Distak on X-Gym, André reveals he has been called by Strikeforce, last Thursday (10), to replace Evangelista Cyborg on a fight against Marius Zaromskis, a combat scheduled to next Wednesday (16), but he refused the proposal. “It’s too close, I wouldn’t have the time to get ready and to lose weight and I’m not going to be nobody’s fool… I could win, but I’d rather not take that risk”, said Galvão. According to some sources, the combat between Cyborg and Zaromskis was almost cancelled, but Chute Boxe’s athlete already is on the United States ready for the fight.

Após estrear com vitória no Strikeforce, derrotando Luke Stewart na decisão dos juízes, André Galvão deve retornar ao octagon americano em agosto. “Falaram que eu volto em agosto, provavelmente junto com o (Rafael) Feijão ou o (Ronaldo) Jacaré. Estou numa fase de aprendizado”, conta o faixa-preta, de olho no topo da categoria. “Eu quero fazer o meu trabalho e luto com quem eles quiserem, quero galgar luta por luta até o cinturão”, garante.

Treinando no Rio de Janeiro, com Rogerão Camões e Josuel Distak na X-Gym, André revela que foi chamado pelo Strikeforce, na última quinta-feira (10), para substituir Evangelista Cyborg na luta contra Marius Zaromskis, combate programado para a próxima quarta-feira (16), mas recusou a proposta. “Estava muito em cima, não teria como me preparar e perder peso, e não vou ser bucha pra ninguém... Eu poderia até ganhar, mas não poderia dar mole pro azar”, disse Galvão. Segundo fontes próximas, o combate entre Cyborg e Zaromskis ficou perto de ser cancelado, mas o atleta da Chute Boxe já está nos Estados Unidos e pronto para a luta.
