Vinícius Draculino’s pupil, the black belt Cláudio Caloquinha will compete in the until 74kg finale of the World Pro of Abu Dhabi against Gilbet Durinho, and is ready to get into action. “He’s a strong guy, there’s no need to comment. “I just have to thank my master Draculino who taught me everything I know, he’s very important to me. He rode a very strong team in BG, even him being two years away, we are walking with own legs. I want to thank Romulo Barral ... Besides my training partner, he was my psychologist, always has given me confidence regardless of the opponent that I had in front”, he said, ready for the best. "God shined on me today ... I had an excellent championship, but it is no use if I get on Saturday and loose. I have to focus now and keep on going," he concluded. Caloquinha vai com tudo para Abu Dhabi

Faixa-preta da Gracie Barra BH, Claudio Caloquinha conquistou o ouro na seletiva de Gramado para o Abu Dhabi Pro. O casca-grossa desbancou grandes nomes na categoria até 74kg, inclusive Bruno Frazzato, que já havia lhe vencido em outra ocasião.
Caloquinha analisou a seletiva cheia de pedreiras e explicou que o sucesso veio ás custas de muito trabalho. “Fiz um treinamento muito forte visando essa seletiva, abdiquei de várias coisas, não tive réveillon, carnaval, só fiquei treinando, pensando nessa vaga. Tinham vários caras duros, o Frazzato já havia me vencido uma vez em uma luta sem quimono e graças a Deus consegui dar o troco. O Vitor Henrique é um cara muito duro, surpreendeu o Mário Reis, mas consegui vencer e garantir minha vaga para o Mundial”, disse o faixa-preta.
Com o passaporte carimbado, o casca-grossa prometeu muita raça e um Jiu-Jitsu agressivo. “Estou treinando mais forte ainda, o (Vinícius) Draculino esteve aqui na academia me dando uma assessoria. Vou lá para Abu Dhabi fazer uma força com a galera. Tenho treinado muitos botes de finalização, como o Draculino sempre nos ensinou, e vou levar para Abu Dhabi um jogo pra frente. Podem esperar de mim muita raça e determinação, esse vai ser o campeonato da minha vida”, finalizou Claudio.
