For the third time in four years, Rômulo Barral will fight for the absolute title on World against Roger Gracie. Despite losing on the two previous finales (2007 and 2009), Barral is confident. “I trained hard and I said I wanted to get to the absolute’s finale and I’ll fight hard for the title”, said, in a chat with TATAME, when he complimented a lot Xande Ribeiro, his opponent on the semifinal. “Xande is a really tough guy, I’m a fan of him and of Saulo too. When I was a blue belt fighter, they owned the black category, but I came here to have fun… I’m joining a lot of championships with kimono and Xande is more focused on MMA, that can have made a difference”, said, without a tactic settled for fighting Roger: “I don’t set strategies, especially when I’m facing Roger. I’m try to make my Jiu-Jitsu work and it will be a hard fight”, concluded.

Pela terceira vez em quatro anos, Romulo Barral decidirá o título absoluto do Mundial contra Roger Gracie. Apesar de ter perdido nas duas finais anteriores (2007 e 2009), Barral está confiante. “Treinei duro e falei que queria chegar na final do absoluto e vou brigar pelo título”, afirmou, em conversa com a TATAME, rasgando elogios a Xande Ribeiro, seu adversário na semi. “O Xande é um atleta duríssimo, sou fã dele e do Saulo. Quando eu era faixa azul eles eram donos da preta, mas eu vim me divertir... Estou competindo mais de quimono e o Xande está mais focado no MMA, isso pode ter feito a diferença”, disse, sem tática para a luta com Roger: “eu não faço muita tática, ainda mais com o Roger. Vou botar o Jiu-Jitsu pra jogo e vai ser pau pereira”, finalizou.
