Two time absolute world champion, Roger Gracie walks in the mat and submits his opponents. He did it all over again on his journey for his third absolute title on World 2010, and Gracie is now on another absolute finale, again against Rômulo Barral.
“To be honest, I see this finale as any other I did”, said the tough guy, without worrying about the title. “What motivates me to fight is not the title, being the champion many times or getting more titles than the other guys, is more than that. Once I decided to dedicate my life to Jiu-Jitsu, what I do is because of my love for the sport, independently of how will I feel”, said Roger, who is doing a great job on the mats, even after his debut on Strikeforce, when he submitted Kevin Randleman. “I just did a MMA fight two weeks ago, I can’t stay out of a show like this one”, concluded.

Bicampeão mundial absoluto, Roger Gracie entra no tatame e finaliza seu adversário. O roteiro se repetiu diversas vezes ao longo do terceiro dia do Mundial 2010, e o Gracie chegou a mais uma final de absoluto, novamente contra Rômulo Barral.
“Para falar a verdade, encaro essa final como todas as outras”, disse o casca-grossa, sem pensar no título. “O que me motiva para lutar não é titulo, ser tantas vezes campeão ou ter mais títulos que os outros, é algo além disso. Uma vez que decidi dedicar minha vida ao Jiu-Jitsu, o que faço é por amor ao esporte, independente de como vou me sentir”, disse Roger, que segue firme no tatame mesmo após fazer sua estreia no Strikeforce, quando finalizou Kevin Randleman. “Acabei de fazer um MMA há duas semanas, mas não posso ficar de fora de um show desses”, finalizou.
