Known as the “General” of Alliance’s team, Fábio Gurgel went yesterday for the United Stated, where he will follow closely the performance of his team on World of Jiu-Jitsu, event that will happen between 3 and 6 of June in Long Beach, California.
On a poll on TATAME’s site, Alliance has been chosen as the favorite team to get the title by 34,2% of the votes, leaving Gracie Barra on the second position (16,58%). Gurgel hopes that this favoritism turns out true and that they win the team title. “I hope they are right… We do a work based on CBJJ’s calendar and our team is ready. We did an amazing preparation, everyone is on their own best”, said the General, believing it will not be easy to get on the highest place of the podium. “World is a tough championship on which only few can be considered favorites, but the team is very united and we hope to represent it on the best possible way”, commented Fábio.

Conhecido como o “General” da equipe Alliance, Fábio Gurgel embarcou nessa ontem para os Estados Unidos, onde acompanhará de perto o desempenho de sua equipe no Mundial de Jiu-Jitsu, que rola entre os dias 3 e 6 de junho em Long Beach, Califórnia.
Em enquete realizada no site da TATAME, a equipe Alliance é a favorita para abocanhar o título com 34,2% dos votos, deixando a Gracie Barra na segunda colocação (16,58%). Gurgel espera fazer valer o favoritismo e faturar mais um título por equipes. “Tomara que eles estejam certos... A gente faz um trabalho em cima do calendário da CBJJ e nossa equipe está pronta. Fizemos um treinamento excepcional, estão todos nas pontas dos cascos”, disse o General, acreditando que não será fácil chegar ao lugar mais alto do pódio. “O Mundial é um campeonato muito duro onde existem poucos favoritos, mas a equipe está muito coesa e esperamos representar da melhor maneira possível”, comentou Fábio.
