After two days of disputes, the most expected moment of World of Jiu-Jitsu has come. From 2pm on (Brazil time), TATAME will keep you updated with all the details of the best real time coverage of World 2010, with the black belts in action.

14h45: The black belt absolute begins

The day has just begun and the great names had already started to warm up for the male black belt absolute and the female brown/black belt. Stay tuned to know all details and getting the results as soon as the fights happens.

15h01: Female warms up the mats

The girls started their journey for the absolute title. Bia Mesquita started well and submitted Renata Lopes in less than a minute. Luanna Alzuguir, current champion on the light weight division, beat Devi Ahuja and faces Penny Thomas on the quarterfinals. Alliance’s training partner of Luanna, the brown belt Gabi Garcia was quick, brought her opponent down, passed her guard and submit her with a kimura.

15h14: Roger and Braga Neto submit; the favorites move forward

In action on the absolute, the current champion Roger Gracie started well his road to his third title, a thing nobody has. Passing the guard and mounting, Gracie saw his opponent giving him his back and did not think twice: submitted him with a rear naked choke. Bernardo Faria, Alexandre de Souza and Rafael Lovto also won and moved forward on the absolute dispute. Then, Braga Neto fot into action and submitted his opponent having got his back.

15h26: Xande and Barral submits, Cavaca brings Lovato down

Two-time absolute champion, Xande Ribeiro started well. Away from the kimonos for a while, he had no difficulties on setting a 10x0 scoreboard on his favor and submitting the fight with a guard armbar. Other favorite, Romulo Barral submitted his first opponent with a half guard choke. Cavaca beat Lovato with a foot lock and moves forward on the competition. On a hard fight, Tarsis Humphreys beat Bruno Bastos after a draw with no points. On the female, Bia Mesquita wins her fight against Tammy Grieco by 12x0 and is guaranteed on the semifinals.

15h44: Braga Neto eliminates Alexandre; Bernardo beat Ceconi

One of the favorites on the race for the absolute title, Roger Gracie put another one down with a choke. The second victim of Gracie on World 2010 was Diego Herzog, who actually escaped from a crucifix before tapping out on the choke. Alexandro Ceconi and Bernardo Faria, who submitted their first opponents, confronted each other on their second fight for the absolute, and the win went to Bernardo, who swept and got Ceconi’s back (6x0). One of the great names of the absolute, Alexandre de Souza was submitted by Braga Neto with a foot lock.

15h54: Vella submits; Kyra moves forward

Entering the World’s mat for the first time on 2010, Gabriel Vella had a 6x0 scoreboard before submitting his opponent. On the female, Kyra Gracie tried a submission during the whole fight, but the win over Sayaka Shioda came by the scoreboard (10x0). On the following fight, Xande confronted Nivaldo Oliveira, who won a silver medal on Brazil, and have not had an easy time: the win came after a 4x2 score. Barral also have a hard opponent to confront, Murilo Santana, and moves forward with a win by an advantage, on a punishment given to his opponent.

16h07: Luanna, Michelle, Gabi and Bia submit; Roger beat Tarsis

Last ADCC champion, Luanna Alzuguir and Penny Thomas made a very busy duel on the mat, and who got the win was the Brazilian, who submitted her opponent with a back choke and still is on the dispute. Gabi Garcia also is trying to bring the title to Alliance after submitting Luzia Monteiro, from Chackmat. Another one who is firm on the dispute is Bia Mesquita, who submitted her opponent when the fight was tied (2x2). Michelle Niclini also moves forward, after beating Fernanda Mazelli with a triangle. On the male dispute, Roger Gracie submitted Tarsis Humphreys with a back choke after having eight points ahead on the scoreboard.

16h14h: Gabi VS. Bia on the female semifinal

When confronted to Carolina de Lazzer, the brown belt Gabi Garcia managed to bring her opponent down on the beginning of the fight and it was enough to lead her to the semifinal, when she will have to face Bia Mesquita, from Gracie Humaitá.

16h23: Xande beats Braga; Barral submits Bernardo

Roberto Ciborg stays still on the absolute dispute after eliminating the real tough Gabriel Vella by 2x0. On another mat, Bernardo Faria had two points ahead of Romulo Barral on the scoreboard, but ended up submitted with a triangle. Braga Neto, another strong name, was beaten by Xande Ribeiro, who moved forward with a sweep (2x0). Xande faces Barral on his next fight. On the female, Kyra Gracie submitted Hillary Willians with a back choke and will face the winner between Luanna ALzuguir and Michelle Nicolini.

16h32: Semifinals defined on male absolute

The male absolute just knew their semifinalists. From one side, there is Cavaca, who submitted Roberto Ciborg with a foot lock and faces Roger Gracie. On the other key, Xande Ribeiro faces Rômulo Barral.

16h40: Semifinais defined on female absolute

LUanna Alzuguir and Kyra Gracie, who defined the weight title on 2009, will do a rematch on the absolute’s semifinal. While Kyra eliminated Hillary Willians with a back choke, the Alliance’s athlete beat Michelle Nicolini by 8x2. On the other side, Gabi Garcia will fight Bia Mesquita to see who will get to the finale.

16h50: Gabi submits Bia and goes to the finale

On the first semifinal, the brown belt Gabi Garcia brought Bia Mesquita down, and right after passing her guard, she used her weight vantage and fit a kimura and guaranteed her vacancy on the finale.

16h59: Roger vs. Barral for the absolute title

Many expected a finale between Roger Gracie and Xande Ribeiro on the absolute dispute, but Rômulo Barral ruined everybody’s plans. On a very tough semifinal, Barral eliminated the two-time absolute champion with a scoreboard pointing 4x2 on his favor and will do the finale against Roger for the third time (2007, 2009 and 2010). On the other semifinal, Roger took Cavaca’s back and submitted him with a choke. Detail: Gracie has not suffered any point or advantage during all his journey for the absolute title.

17h23: Alliance closed up the female absolute

After Gabi Garcia guaranteeing her vacancy on the finale after submitting Bia Mesquita with a kimura, her team partner, Luanna Alzuguir beat Kyra Gracie with a sweep and a guard brake (5x) and confirmed the female absolute title for Alliance.

14h45: Começa o absoluto na faixa preta

Mal começa o dia e os primeiros grandes nomes já se aquecem para o absoluto da faixa preta no masculino, e o feminino marrom/preta. Fique ligado para acompanhar os resultados das lutas assim que elas acontecerem.

15h01: Feminino esquenta os tatames

As meninas já começaram a corrida pelo absoluto. Bia Mesquita começou bem e finalizou Renata Lopes em menos de um minuto. Luanna Alzuguir, atual campeã do peso leve, derrotou Devi Ahuja e encara Penny Thomas nas quartas-de-final. Companheira de Luanna na Alliance, a faixa-marrom Gabi Garcia foi rápida no gatilho, quedando, passando a guarda e finalizando com uma kimura.

15h14: Roger e Braga Neto finalizam; favoritos avançam

Em ação no absoluto, o atual campeão Roger Gracie começou bem sua corrida pelo inédito tricampeonato. Passando a guarda e montando, o Gracie viu seu oponente dar as costas e não vacilou: finalizou no mata-leão. Bernardo Faria, Alexandre de Souza e Rafael Lovato também venceram e avançam no absoluto. Em seguida, Braga Neto entrou em ação e finalizou das costas.

15h26: Xande e Barral finalizam, Lovato cai diante de Cavaca

Bicampeão mundial absoluto, Xande Ribeiro começou bem. Afastado dos quimonos há bastante tempo, ele não teve dificuldades para abrir 10x0 no placar e finalizar a luta com um arm-lock da guarda. Outro favorito, Romulo Barral finalizou a primeira com um estrangulamento da meia guarda. Cavaca eliminou o gringo Lovato com uma chave de pé e segue firme. Numa luta dura, Tarsis Humphreys passou por Bruno Bastos após empate em 0x0. No feminino, Bia Mesquita vence Tammy Grieco por 12x0 e está garantida na semifinal.

15h44: Braga Neto elimina Alexandre; Bernardo bate Ceconi

Um dos favoritos ao título no absoluto, Roger Gracie eliminou mais um no estrangulamento. A segunda vítima do Gracie no Mundial 2010 foi Diego Herzog, que chegou a escapar de um crucifixo antes de bater no estrangulamento. Alexandro Ceconi e Bernardo Faria, que finalizaram seus primeiros adversários, bateram de frente na segunda luta do absoluto, e a vitória foi para Bernardo, que raspou e pegou as costas (6x0). Um os grandes nomes do absoluto, Alexandre de Souza foi finalizado por Braga Neto com uma chave de pé.

15h54: Vella finaliza a primeira; Kyra avança

Entrando no tatame do Mundial pela primeira vez em 2010, Gabriel Vella anotou 6x0 antes de finalizar. No feminino, Kyra Gracie buscou a finalização o tempo todo, mas a vitória sobre Sayaka Shioda veio por pontos (10x0). Em sua segunda luta no dia, Xande enfrentou Nivaldo Oliveira, vice-campeão brasileiro, e não teve moleza: a vitória veio por 4x2. Barral também teve pedreira contra Murilo Santana, e segue com uma vitória por uma vantagem, em punição dada ao adversário.

16h07: Luanna, Michelle, Gabi e Bia finalizam; Roger bate Tarsis

Campeãs no último ADCC, Luanna Alzuguir e Penny Thomas fizeram um duelo agitado no pano, e quem se deu melhor foi a brasileira, que finalizou a luta com um estrangulamento das costas e segue firme na disputa. Gabi Garcia também segue firme para a Alliance após finalizar Luzia Monteiro, da Checkmat. Outra que segue firme é Bia Mesquita, que finalizou sua oponente enquanto a luta estava empatada (2x2). Michelle Nicolini também avança, após bater Fernanda Mazelli com um triângulo. No masculino, Roger Gracie finalizou Tarsis Humphreys com um estrangulamento pelas costas após abrir oito pontos no placar.

16h14h: Gabi x Bia na semifinal do feminino

Diante de Carolina de Lazzer, a faixa-marrom Gabi Garcia conseguiu uma queda logo no início da luta e foi o bastante para avançar à semifinal, quando enfrentará Bia Mesquita, da Gracie Humaitá.

16h23: Xande elimina Braga; Barral finaliza Bernardo

Roberto Ciborg segue firme no absoluto após eliminar o duríssimo Gabriel Vella por 2x0. Na outra área de luta, Bernardo Faria abriu 2x0 sobre Romulo Barral, mas acabou finalizado com um triângulo. Braga Neto, outro nome forte, caiu diante de Xande Ribeiro, que avançou com uma raspagem (2x0). Xande encara Barral na próxima luta. No feminino, Kyra Gracie finalizou Hillary Williams com um estrangulamento pelas costas e encara a vencedora da luta entre Luanna Alzuguir e Michelle Nicolini.

16h32: Semifinais definidas no absoluto masculino

O absoluto masculino acaba de conhecer seus semifinalistas. De um lado, Cavaca finalizou Roberto Ciborg no pé e encara Roger Gracie de um lado. Na outra chave, Xande Ribeiro encara Rômulo Barral.

16h40: Semifinais definidas no absoluto feminino

Luanna Alzuguir e Kyra Gracie, que definiram o título no peso em 2009, se reencontrarão na semifinal do absoluto. Enquanto Kyra eliminava Hillary Williams com um estrangulamento pelas costas, a atleta da Alliance batia Michelle Nicolini por 8x2. Do outro lado, Gabi Garcia define contra Bia Mesquita quem vai à final.

16h50: Gabi finaliza Bia e vai à final

Na primeira semifinal, a faixa-marrom Gabi Garcia quedou Bia Mesquita e, logo após passar a guarda, usou a grande vantagem no peso para encaixar uma kimura e garantir vaga na final.

16h59: Roger x Barral pelo absoluto

Muitos esperavam por uma final entre Roger Gracie e Xande Ribeiro pelo absoluto, mas Rômulo Barral estragou esses planos. Numa semifinal duríssima, Barral eliminou o bicampeão absoluto por 4x2 nas vantagens e fará a final com Roger pela terceira vez (2007, 2009 e 2010). Na outra semifinal, Roger pegou as costas e finalizou Cavaca com um estrangulamento. Detalhe: o Gracie não sofreu nenhum ponto ou vantagem durante todo o absoluto.

17h23: Alliance fecha o absoluto feminino

Após Gabi Garcia garantir vaga na final ao finalizar Bia Mesquita com uma kimura, sua companheira de equipe Luanna Alzuguir passou por Kyra Gracie com uma raspagem e passagem de guarda (5x0) e fechou o absoluto para a Alliance.
