ABSOLUTO: Roger busca o tri; Barral está animado

Pela terceira vez desde 2007, Roger Gracie e Rômulo Barral decidirão quem é o campeão mundial no absoluto. Sem levar um ponto ou vantagem, o Gracie finalizou todos os seus adversários e pega Barral, que eliminou Xande Ribeiro numa grande luta na semifinal. “Para falar a verdade, encaro essa final como todas as outras. O que me motiva para lutar não é titulo, ser tantas vezes campeão ou ter mais títulos que os outros, é algo além disso”, afirmou Roger, que não terá moleza. “Treinei duro e falei que queria chegar na final do absoluto e vou brigar pelo título... Eu não faço muita tática, ainda mais com o Roger. Vou botar o Jiu-Jitsu pra jogo e vai ser pau pereira”, disse Barral.

Semifinalista do absoluto, Beatriz Mesquita não teve problemas para finalizar Kelley Weatherfor em sua primeira luta no peso com um arm-lock da guarda, se garantindo na semifinal contra Luanna Alzuguir, que ficou de baia. Após cair no absoluto, Kyra Gracie começou bem no peso, finalizando Renata Lopes com um arm-lock. Em luta duríssima, Luanna Alzuguir eliminou Bia Mesquita com uma raspagem (2x0) e se garantiu na final contra Kyra Gracie, reeditando a final do ano passado.

Médio: Carol de Lazze encara Hillary Willians na final

Meio-pesado: Michelle Nicolini encara Penny Thomas na grande final

Entrando de baia na categoria, Michelle Nicolini não deu chances a Fernanda Mazelli e garantiu presença na final da categoria ao finalizar com uma chave de pé. Do outro lado, Penny Thomas fez valer o favoritismo e, após bater Valerie Worthingt na primeira luta, finalizou na semifinal e fará a grande luta do peso contra Michelle.

ABSOLUTE: Roger seeks tri; Barral is excited
